I work at a Uni, and keep seeing all these way I can 'make things better.' Of course, we can just throw in a web app, and we're going to be *so* much more efficient. Unfortunately, this is not the case, because now I spend all my time developing apps for which nobody uses, but everybody complains about. I really prefer just writing apps for myself, I think. You nailed it on the software development. Well, on the bright side, at least it wasn't all the SAME place. To me, someone saying "I've lived here all my life" becomes increasingly saddening as the speaker gets older (doubly so when they say it like they're proud of it...)... Now that you mention it, New Zealand should be on my list, too - along with numerous other places. And as far as any kind of software development - they say it's like sex.
