Putting Things Together
Well, I have one last professor to meet with this afternoon regarding my recent stay at the hospital. I’m nervous to see how it goes, but I’ll just have to wait and see.
Work continues on this website. I added a new painting page, with my latest painting dubbed “Lisa.” You can check it out by clicking on “interests” and then the painting link. Let me know your thoughts on it.
I went to the first half of the Wind Ensemble concert last night. It was a big step for me, and I realized how much I really miss actually being down there performing. I remembered what it was like to be able to express myself through music. It’s something I’ve been avoiding lately for some reason I’ve not realized yet. It might be because I picked up painting.
Being able to express yourself creatively is important. I believe that it adds to your individuality and your uniqueness as an individual. I don’t care what the creative medium is, when and what a person creates say something about themselves, and sometimes that something is more than words alone can express. There is inherent beauty in all of us, and our creative outlets prove that.
Some people might claim that they have no creative outlets. I call that BS. They just haven’t found it yet. It could be anything. My creative outlets are more classical in nature: music, painting, writing, and even computer programming. Your job can be a creative outlet. Your hobbies can be creative outlets. The way you spend your time can be a creative outlet. Your relationships can be creative outlets. The possibilities are endless and you are only bound by your mind.
Until next time, So long, do well, win awards, and thanks for all the fish. See you in the funny papers!
